During the two-year joint venture between China National Heavy Duty Truck and Man, China National Heavy Duty Truck has been digesting the technology brought by Mann, and in order to be able to use the latest technology, it also invested 8.2 billion yuan, both in the transformation for the future, take A more competitive model, to make up for the weakness of the tractor.

Today, three new models, the Howard T5G, Howo T7H and SITRAK, which were jointly developed with Mann, have been introduced to the market this year. Direction

T series and C series are the key products of China National Heavy Duty Truck in the future. They have also been tracking the market for the use of these two products, users have a good response to them. However, because these products are short on the market, it takes time to develop.

"As of now, the T-series and C-series have sold 2,500 vehicles in total, of which, the tractor-type products are the main sales force, and they have sold nearly 2,400 vehicles. A small part of sales are high-end mixers and dump trucks. By the end of this year, sales will be able to It has reached more than 4,000 vehicles." Duan Hengyong, deputy general manager of sales of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, told the newspaper.

In the past, the main market for Sinotruk sales was in the northern region. This year, due to the downturn in the entire coal and steel industries, it was affected in terms of sales volume. In the event of a loss in the traditional market, Sinotruck has turned its sights to the previous blank space.

“In the past, we had a little more sales in the north, and the sales in the southern market were a little less. This year we have new changes. Not only us, but the entire industry is the decline in the northern region. We are in southwestern regions such as Wuhan, Guangdong, and Nanning this year. Sales in the region go up. Among them, our sales in Wuhan have increased by more than 40%."

Urbanization is one of the main driving forces for the development of the market in the central and western regions. With the adjustment of the country's economic structure, the logistics industry has developed rapidly, but tractors have always been a weak market for China National Heavy Duty Truck.

However, Sinotruk is also trying to adapt to changes in the new situation. The T-series and C-series new products launched this year are intended to enhance China National Heavy Duty Truck's strength in the logistics tractor market.

New strategy

CNHTC launched new products and new marketing strategies. The C series is aimed at the high-end market of imported cars, which is targeted for import substitution and is priced at more than 400,000 yuan. The T series is slightly lower than the C series, but it is a high-end product in China and sells for around 300,000.

It is understood that the current two series of products, the implementation of the marketing strategy of the sub-series. “Previously a regional distributor could represent a full range of products under a single brand. But now if you do a T7 dealer, you can't do a T5 dealer because the user groups are different. T7 is for long-distance logistics transportation. At present, there are about 140 T7 dealers in the country, because the T5 launch later, so the number of dealers is only about 60. “At the beginning, sales were relatively small. Thanks to the support from MAN Technologies, SITRAK can make commitments of 1.5 million kilometers of engine without overhaul, 60,000 kilometers of oil interval intervals and monthly operating intensity of up to 30,000 kilometers. Duan Hengyong believes that T-series products will have greater opportunities next year after the full implementation of State IV emission upgrades. “The engine platform of T-series products is itself the platform of State IV and State V. The cost difference between the new products of China IV and the products of the original country III we introduced is less than 20,000 yuan, which is more than 30,000 yuan more than that of other countries IV. "Because the C Series positioning import substitution type is the future flagship product of CNHTC, the sales volume naturally cannot be compared with other low-end products.
