North and South Volkswagen swept the top two cars in 2004


According to statistics from authoritative departments, Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen remain the top two cars in 2004, but their leading edge has been greatly reduced; sales volume of Shanghai GM and Guangzhou Honda has increased rapidly, ranking third with South-China Volkswagen. 4th; Beijing Hyundai with Elantra's headwind in the top five. Shanghai Volkswagen completed sales of 355,006 vehicles in 2004. Although it still remained the top spot among car companies, it had a negative growth of 40,000 vehicles compared to 2003. Among them, 132,714 were sold in Santana; 90,234 in Santana 3000; 3,654 in POLO; 19,767 in GOL; 74,667 in Passat. FAW-Volkswagen sold 300,118 vehicles throughout the year, including 153,916 new Jetta, Bora 63,283, Golf 20,901, Audi A6 46,177 and Audi A4 15,841. Shanghai GM sales increased by 25% to 2,520,53 vehicles. Among them, Excelle achieved sales of 92,225 units in the year, 72,857 units in Regal, 29,085 units in GL8, and 57,838 units in four years of sales. The total sales volume of Guangzhou Honda in 2004 was 20,966 cars, an increase of 73% over 2003. Among them, 105,393 Accords were sold, 80,200 were Fit, and 16,471 were Odysseys. Beijing Hyundai became the biggest winner of the Chinese auto market in 2004. Sonata sold 41340 vehicles; but Elantra sold 102,748 vehicles.
