In the early 1960s, the Swiss company Berek was the first to successfully develop and use the cold heading riveting machine in order to meet the needs of high production efficiency and high production quality. After several decades, with the improvement of production technology and the acceleration of the production process, the processing range of the riveting machine has broken through the traditional single riveting field, and has expanded to more and newer areas such as riveting, sealing, point and pressure. It has become another emerging processing method. In the processing fields such as fan casings and lock casings, parts that need to be riveted in the casing are often seen, as shown in the following figure. This type of part is closed at one end and open at one end. It is awkward to use traditional hand riveting, and the general equipment is helpless. However, for the riveting machine, the processing of such parts is a breeze, you only need to spend tens of dollars to make a special-shaped riveting head, through the riveting machine's pure pendulum movement to complete the riveting. Since the profiled rivet does not rotate in the axial direction during the pure oscillating process, you do not have to worry about interference between the rivet and the shell. This processing takes only a few seconds, simple and fast.

For sensors, spark plugs, car steering ball pins, shock absorbers and other parts that need to be sealed, people are accustomed to using punch press or lathe rolling to complete the sealing process. However, in fact, the sealing process of the riveting machine has a huge advantage, its sealing pressure and sealing degree can be arbitrarily controlled, and the deformation is uniform and weak pressure point-by-point rolling deformation, which overcomes the large amount of strong deformation under the overall deformation. Internal stress, cracks, etc., and most importantly, the seal quality of the seals processed by the riveting machine is in no way inferior to any other conventional processing methods.

The shape of the riveting process is also varied, the most common being a circle, a triangle, a square, etc., or an irregular shape. These are mainly limited by the special requirements of riveted parts, such as riveting square steel flanges onto steel plates. If the machining of such parts is extremely complicated and the quality is not guaranteed by other processing methods, you need to use the riveting machine at this time.

In many hydraulic and hydraulic components, process holes or filler holes are often sealed by steel balls.

Some of these seals are movable, such as oil holes, oil cups, etc., steel balls can be pressed in and can be restored; some process holes require the steel ball to fix the closed oil circuit without oil leakage or leakage. The processing of these parts is the place where the riveting machine can show its talents. As long as the machine tool is adjusted, the pre-pressing, pressing and riveting of the steel ball can be completed at one time, with high production efficiency and good quality.

Although many examples of riveting machine processing applications have been introduced above, this is only a small part of the range of riveting machines.
