In October 2015, the total sales volume of Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen was 151,349 units. In October last year, the sales volume was 146,459 units, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. From January to October, the cumulative wholesale sales of North and South Volkswagen reached 1,333,490 units, down 10.8% year-on-year from 1,495,429 units in the same period last year. Although the cumulative sales have not exceeded the previous year, it has stopped falling in October.
In the same month, the Audi brand played a positive role in the increase in the sales volume of the Volkswagen Group in China, from 41,411 vehicles, an increase of 14.1% to 47,236 vehicles, an increase of double digits. In the first 10 months, the cumulative sales volume was 412,575 units, compared with 414,842 units in the same period last year, which was basically flat. The Volkswagen passenger car brand was basically equivalent to October, last year, with 104,113 vehicles and 105,048 vehicles. The cumulative sales in the first 10 months fell by 14.8% from 1,080,587 vehicles to 920,915 vehicles.
According to the market segmentation, the compact car was the growth pillar of Volkswagen's presence in China last month, and it almost reached an all-round rise, covering compact cars, compact SUVs and compact coupes.
Compact car:
· Shanghai Volkswagen New LaVida increased by 1.7% from the 31,674 units to 31,709 units; the main growth models were the new LaVida 1.6LMT and the new LaVida 1.6LAT, especially the latter increased by 13.8%;
· FAW-Volkswagen Sagitar increased 1.5% from 27,004 units to 27,644 units; the main growth models were Sagitar 1.4TAT, Sagitar 1.6AT and Sagitar 1.6MT, with increases of 17.7%, 7.9% and 16.8% respectively; these three vehicles are also The three cars with the highest sales volume in China;
· FAW-Volkswagen Golf increased by 1.7% to 17,108 units from 17,800 vehicles; the main growth models were Golf 1.4TMT and Golf 1.4TAT, with an increase of 47.1% and 18.1% respectively. The latter was the highest sales volume of golf in China in the month;
· Shanghai Volkswagen New Santana increased by 18.8% from the year of 15,100 vehicles to 17,932 vehicles; the main growth models are the new Santana 1.4MT and the new Santana 1.6MT, all of which are manual transmission models, and sales are also leading in Santana;
