Fluid-flow separation drilling optimizes fluid flow through the wellbore assembly to maximize wellbore cleaning and minimize drilling cuttings in large diameter wells. The new recirculation valve remains stationary until pressure is applied to the ball seat. Whether a particular size ball is in the open or closed position, the cable can pass through the tool, which is important for the radiation source to be recycled. When the bypass ball catcher is pushed in, the ball-drop device can be moved under the tool, allowing the ball to drop continuously through the drill pipe. In some cases, cable or gyro tools can also be recycled through the recirculation valve / bypass ball catcher combination.
