Demand for energy and environmental protection catalysts

According to the latest research report from BCC Research, a well-known American research company, the global energy and environmental catalyst market reached 12.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2006, and this figure is expected to reach 13 billion U.S. dollars and 18.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2007 and 2012, respectively, with an average annual growth rate. It is 7.4%.

It is reported that the refining catalyst accounts for nearly 90% of the energy catalyst market share, but from 2006 to 2012, the proportion of the market share of refining catalysts will decline, mainly due to the promotion of the use of synthetic fuels and biofuels. Nevertheless, by 2012, refining catalysts will still account for three quarters of the energy catalyst market share.

BCC pointed out that catalysts used to reduce air pollution emissions from mobile sources, especially catalysts for automotive exhaust catalytic converters, accounted for nearly 50% of the global environmental catalyst market share in 2006, and were used for stationary sources (such as emission control of power plants). ) The catalyst for air pollution reduction accounts for about 31% of the market share.
