LG Chemicals Develops Ultra-Efficient OLED Light Board

LG Chemicals is the largest chemical company of LG Group in South Korea and has developed ultra-efficient OLED light panels that can meet the performance of traditional LED products currently on the market and are expected to be launched in November.
The new OLED panel is expected to have the efficacy of 100 lumens lamps and a useful life of 40,000 hours. Light sources per watt of light can produce visible light flow. In contrast, the current fluorescent lamp clock has 100 lumens and 20,000 hours of service life, while the LED panel can achieve brightness of 100 lumens and 50,000 hours of service life. However, until now, OLED light boards can only achieve the efficacy of 60 lumens lamps per watt.
Although it is about 10 times more expensive than its LED counterpart, the LG Chem representative stated that “we think that we can use the unit cost of the LED standard, and the final cost will eventually be reduced by 5 times. Or through continuous development.” LG Chem plans to market The introduction of new light panels is more commercially viable with North American and European environmental awareness products. The Korean company has already cooperated with more than 50 lighting companies, including the largest lighting manufacturer in the United States.
