Researcher Li Lu, assistant to president of Chongqing University of Science and Technology Institute of New Materials Technology introduced touch screen is currently widely used indium tin oxide material, accounting for 40% of the cost of the control panel, indium is an expensive rare element materials. Graphene, which is an alternative material, must be produced under vacuum, and the final product size and efficiency are not high and the cost is high. Silver nanowires can produce 10 square meters per minute, speed and productivity are greater.
It is understood that silver nanowire transparent conductive film touch screen technology has the advantages of high light transmittance, high conductivity, large size, low cost (50% of the cost of the existing touch screen) and high flexibility (for wearable devices). Tu Ming Jing led the team successfully developed products, has produced mobile phone samples. Touch screens manufactured using this technology do not need to be produced under vacuum and can be continuously printed.
It is understood that the United States and South Korea's Samsung Apple Samsung is conducting a trial of silver nanowire touch screen, Chongqing University of Arts and Technology Research Institute of new materials R & D team reached the world's same level of technology.
