On March 29, 2016, the second China Quality Award Ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and the awarding organizations and individuals of the China Quality Award were announced. Yuchai's "Lean management model centered on eliminating waste and continuous improvement" was recognized by the selection committee and won the China Quality Award nomination award. Yuchai is the only company in Guangxi that has won this honor. This is the second time that Yuchai has won the China Quality Award nomination.

As the highest government honor in the domestic quality field, the “China Quality Award†was approved by the State Council. The AQSIQ is responsible for organization and implementation, and is selected once every two years. The second China Quality Award was jointly evaluated by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Science and Technology, and related research institutes, social organizations, etc., and was awarded the China Quality Award. It has 9 organizations and 1 individual, 80 nominations organizations and 10 individuals. The same companies that won the China Quality Award nomination include Gree Electric, Lenovo, and Hisense.
Over the years, Yuchai has practiced the "zero defect, zero tolerance" quality management philosophy, implemented the "professional, lean, innovative, piloting" quality policy, adhered to the quality level evaluation system, the quality cost management system, the quality evaluation of the customers' attention, and the quality prevention and early warning. The lean quality management model supported by the system and reliability growth management has achieved continuous improvement in product quality. Being awarded the China Quality Award for nomination for two consecutive times not only recognized Yuchai's quality work results, but also encouraged Yuchai builders to continue to adhere to lean improvement and steadily improve product quality, and provide consumers with better products and services. . In 2016, the quality work of Yuchai's shares was based on the annual theme of “promoting quality and increasing profitsâ€, centering on the “charisma lean innovation piloting†eight-character principle, the reliability, B10 life cycle, quality cost, process control, and new product development quality control rate were implemented. And other key indicators, in order to achieve product quality and the entire process of stable and controlled quality goals.
It is reported that Yuchai has won the National Quality Award, the first China Quality Award nomination, and the first Guangxi Provincial Chairman Quality Award.
