Sun Hard X-ray Imager Load Design Report Passes Review

China Instrument Network Instrument R&D On January 5, 2018, the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Strategic Science and Technology pilot project “Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory (ASO-S)” satellite system organized a solar hard X-ray imager overall in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. (HXI) Load Program Design Review Meeting. About 30 experts from 9 assessment teams from 9 institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences Microsatellite Innovation Research Institute and the National Space Center, and HIX load-bearing units, the Zijin Mountain Observatory and other units of the Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the conference.

HXI load designer Zhang Zhe made the HXI load design report. The report introduced in detail the design of the development plan of HXI load through previous research, including: research background, mission objectives, technical specifications, task requirements analysis, and imaging principles. System composition and stand-alone design, calibration test program, key technology research, development of technical processes and planning processes. The review panel made detailed discussions and comments on various parts of the report, and provided valuable opinions and suggestions on the risk points and key nodes in the development work. The review panel believes that the HXI subsystem design is reasonable and feasible, the machine, electricity, and heat interfaces are clear, and the functions and performance indicators meet the overall technical requirements and agree to pass the review.
This assessment is an important node of HXI since entering the project development program phase in September 2017. It has laid solid foundations for the detailed design of the subsequent single-machine program phases and key technology research and verification, and even the development of the prototype and the positive sample phases. basis. Before the end of the conference, the chief architect of the ASO-S satellite system, the chief scientist of the ASO-S satellite project, and the chief architect of the ASO-S satellite project respectively gave speeches. He hoped that the research team could seriously refer to the opinions of experts and improve the design of the project as soon as possible, and fully devoted to it. In the development task of the scheme design stage, the quality and quantity will complete the expected work on time.
