In the approval of the provincial “urban minerals†demonstration pilot project jointly issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Finance Department, the Suqian Circular Economy Industrial Park was approved as a provincial “urban mineral†demonstration base, only two in northern Jiangsu; Rubber and Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was approved as a demonstration pilot of “Urban Minerals†and only three in northern Jiangsu.
"City Minerals" is a new vocabulary in recent years. It is an image metaphor for the large-scale development of recycling of waste resources. It refers to the generation and storage of waste electrical and mechanical equipment, wires and cables, communication tools, automobiles, and home appliances in the process of industrialization and urbanization. Recyclable steel, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, plastics, rubber and other resources in electronic products, metal and plastic packaging and waste, the utilization of which is equivalent to the original mineral resources.
In the mid-to-late 1990s, Suqian City, Suqian City seized policy opportunities and vigorously developed recycling of waste plastics. It has become the largest renewable resource processing base in East China. In recent years, through investment promotion and internal training, Suqian City, Suqian City has Jiangsu Qiangwei Rubber & Plastic Technology Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Sanyuan Tire Co., Ltd., Fuyang has Fuyang Lok Fu Rubber & Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Jiasheng Renewable Resources. Ltd., the products involve high quality rubber, high strength reclaimed rubber and so on. At present, the Suqian area can recycle about 500,000 tons of waste rubber resources annually. Recycled rubber has become one of the two major waste tire comprehensive utilization bases in our province, realizing resource utilization, industrial development and environmental win-win.
