Qingchun East Road is an extension of Qingchun Road, a major section of Hangzhou City, between the downtown area of ​​Hangzhou and Qianjiang New City. The incident section is under construction by China Railway Tunnel Group. The nearby Qingchun Tunnel connects Hangzhou Downtown and Xiaoshan City. , 50 meters away from the “big hole” is the construction of Hangzhou Metro Line 2 Qianjiang New City Station.

The engineering unit stated that the cause of the collapse was due to the damage of the sewage pipeline beneath it, which caused soil erosion. It is reported that the main underground soil in Hangzhou is silty soil, which is easily lost after encountering water. The entire backfilling work is expected to continue for one week. On the evening of the 31st, the workers will arrange the water absorption in the “big hole” to prevent the surrounding sand from further loss into the sewer pipe.

On February 27, 2012, the road surface near the Jiubao Bus Station in Hangzhou collapsed on a large area. The reason was that the underground sewer pipe was broken. The pipelines involved in the relocation of the subway group were nearby, and the Hangzhou Metro Line 1 passenger transportation center station was nearby.
