On December 22, the US Department of Commerce announced the results of the revised preliminary tax rate for countervailing duty from China's passenger and light truck tires (PVLT). Earlier, the US Department of Commerce partially accepted the arguments of Jiatong Tire (Fujian) Co., Ltd. for the countervailing duty rate.

After calculation, the US Department of Commerce ruled that the countervailing duty rate of Jiatong Tire (Fujian) Co., Ltd. was reduced to 11.74%, and the original tax rate was 17.69%; the other tax rates remained unchanged. As a result, the general countervailing duty rate for Chinese tires has been reduced to 12.03%.
The US Department of Commerce will then publish the revised results in the Federal Register.
