How to choose the flotation process?

The copper is then preferentially floated to obtain a copper concentrate. In general, the mixed flotation ore is suitable for treating ore with poor ore and simple nature. In this case, the priority flotation and beneficiation has the following advantages: it can save grinding cost, save floating mineral processing agent, and save floating mineral processing equipment.

When recovering more than three useful minerals, a partial mixing flotation process can also be applied, as shown in Figure 6-25. The difference between it and the full flotation process is that a part of the useful mineral to be floated first floats out.

The floatable process is also called the mixed flotation process, as shown in Figure 6-25. It divides the useful minerals to be floated into two parts: easy to float and difficult to float according to the floatability. Flotation of the ore separately and then separation. It adapts to the same kind of minerals including complex polymetallic ore which is easy to float and difficult to float. Its advantages are that it can reduce the consumption of chemicals, eliminate the influence of excess chemicals on separation and flotation, and improve the flotation dressing index.
