After 8700 hours of successful sea trials, Talusia Optima lubricants have been approved for use by Winterthur Gas and Diesel, Japan Engine and Mann Diesel & Turbo. In the sea test and test, the cylinder oil of Total Marine Lubricant Company, Talusia LS25 and Talusia Universal 100 were used in combination.
According to Jean-Philippe Roman, President of Total Marine Lubricant Technology, “Talusia Optima is the longest new lubricant in our sea trials, so that customers and original engine manufacturers can rest assured that our products can be safely used on board, including A ship that operates for a long time in a pollution discharge control zone."
Talusia Optima lubricants are specifically designed to be used when switching fuel in and out of the pollution discharge control zone, eliminating the need to change lubricants. This new lubricant can be used with distillate fuels with a sulfur content of 0-3.5%.
It is reported that the sea trial is carried out on a modern 14000 TEU container ship powered by the latest generation of fuel efficient two-stroke 11S90ME-C mark 10.2 B&W engine, which operates in and out of pollution control zones in Europe and Asia.
